today in dees class we finished off our articals as and done our evaluations fgor them also saved our publizsher files to a psd.

today in johns class we storyboarded our infomercial and went out and filmed a couple shots it went really good i feelwe got a couple really good shots i amreally happy with them we rememberd the rule of thirds  we are doing really well .

in big johns class we were looking at making a infomerciall about the course and also we looked into what actually takes place before we start filming we broke of into groups and started firing out ideas .

today in dees class we wer going into magazines and looking up articals and evaluating them so we can progress on next week to the anatomy of a page. we also had a group meeting to discuse the name of the  group we decided comercial enough ? .

today in dees class we were scaning photos from janes class and then puting them into photo shop and manipulateing them  to create a poster .

today we were writing html with dee i found it rather easy to do once i had the codes just remembering them will b a little hard .

today we were learning how to donload a video from youtube and turn iht from a flv to a mov  and in doing that u use mpeg stramclip an perian and then drag and drop into i web .

in the second part of dees class we were working on our epk's i got 3 pages done here r screen shots

in dees class we were geting source codes and bye doing that u just go to a website and then go to veiw scroll down to veiw source  and then a window will open with all the codes .

today in dees class i took my image from photoshop and used it for my homepage for my epk added tool bars and links to a merchandice site .

to get the text in i clicked the T button on photoshop menu then draged my space wich i wanted to type in and then typed and saved as a jpg file .

To get this afect in photoshop i went  to filter and thn selected film wrap  togive this shiny afect and also to web page siz is 800 by 600

To get the neon effect i went to filters again and picked neon affect and then selected how much and whear i wanted it .

today we learned how to use photoshop we took a picture inserted text an then done a couple of our own we then we were clipping out the head and saved it

today in dees class we continued with reaserch for our johnny cash EPK and i done research on epk design as the designer i have to make sure that the epk has all the qaulitys it should have like being able to get easy acces to iht bye the end of the next session i will hopefully have an idea mapped out of what it will look like .

today in big johns class we made a new folder in our network drive  and then made two sub folders within that called scripts and images and then and then wee took a picture on johns mac as ours did not have photo booth we then took a picture and saved to my pen drive and then put that picture into the sub folder images an then took a screenshot

today in dees class we held a class meeting and i was chosen as chairman to discuss our epk task and get ourselves sorted into groups alan was chosen as minit taker to take notes and then we split into 4 teams in my team we have shaun and alan and we have chosen to do johny cash  we got some quotes from the man himself my roll is designer so it is my job to put it all together and make it look good

today in dees class we wer on i web creating a bio about myself i found it ok once i got used to the mac controlls it was fairly easy to do . I  think that i am  going to enjoy doing this this year

EPK ratings

today in dees class we were looking up 5 EPK's and rating them i came up with :

www.goodcharlotte.com i rated this one a 7and a half  i liked the design of this EPK but iht is let down bye the lack of info on it .
www.paparoach.com my overall rating for this was a 5 it just lacked any kind of information at all .
www.blink182.com/default.aspx overall rating a 9  the design was good and easily directable .
www.the prodigy.com overalll rating 10 out of 10 information design and easy to get around it i loved this EPK.

today in big johns class we were reaserching mterial to put into garage band using google images

Today in Web content we were using photo booth to take  creative photos and then used i photo to store them an sort them into diferent folders we took the photo using photo booth and thn saved them in our own folders in finder and thn transfered them to a file in i photo called random pics of me . i also learned  what a EPK is electronic press kit i also learned how to do a screen grab and i done this by clicking the apple button,shiftand the number 4 at the same time and then drag how big  a screen grab u want  .

first two days at college

i was nervouse yesterday morning as i walked into my first lesson. It was with laura MacNeillie but iht was ok got to no a bit about wats expected from me this year and also what i can expect from the collage overall i think ihts going to be a good year . Thn after  lunch we had Dee Maher for Web content  was looking forward to it untill we had major issues with the macs they just wouldnt work was verry stressfull.
TUESDAY 24th
 Came in this morning to room 445 with Rob McDermott it was an interesting Rob just made us feel welcome an had a realy good lesson just setting down ground rules and thn we had to get together in pairs an interveiw each other to get to know one and other . At 11.15 we had Gavin Orr for communication we continued with the notes from the interveiw with Rob and started to make an artical about that person we interveiwed overall im looking forward to the rest of the year .
